Anthropology 260: Essentials of Biological Anthropology

This course reinforces and expands upon the introduction to the field of biological anthropology received in Anthropology 102. Through a combination of lectures, reading assignments, discussion, homework assignments, and laboratory projects, we conduct a detailed examination of the biology, genetics, and evolution of humans, nonhuman primates (monkeys, apes, and prosimians), and their ancestors. The prerequisite for this course is Anthropology 102: Introduction to Human Evolution.
